An application such as KNIP gives users the flexibility to change or upgrade their offer based on change in needs or availability of a cheaper offer with parallel or better services

Concept

  • KNIP aims to simplify and digitize insurance for its’ users for free, on a mobile platform
  • It has partnered with more than 90% Swiss insurers and has signed a broker mandate with them in order to manage users’ policies
  • The interface presents an easy-to-understand overview of user’s existing insurance policies, rates and benefits
  • It automatically detects individual savings potentials and possibilities for better insurance benefits in the future
  • The app is free for users, but the insurance companies pay a management fee and commission to KNIP. The management fee is for digitizing the user’s policies, and commission is bringing new business for the insurer via the comparator, if new insurance is bought via the app. Users can also contact KNIP specialists for free advice on different insurance packages
  • Once the user requests for digitization, KNIP contacts the insurer and takes 7-14 days to digitize policies and put them online
