  • Zong (a Pakistani mobile network operator) has teamed up with an insurance company (Adamjee)  in order to launch the first life insurance through mobile destined to poor people
  • Subscribers can get life insurance coverage between 100k– 300k PKR ( 700 € – 22 000 €) for a daily premium deduction of 2 PKR (0,01 € ) paid through mobile
  • Users can subscribe to the insurance service simply by sending an SMS
  • To complete the process, users are required to confirm their CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) Number
  • The subscription fees will be automatically deducted from the customers mobile phone balance daily
